Utrecht scouting wants more attention from politicians: ‘We are forgotten’

Utrecht scouting wants more attention from politicians We are forgotten

During a Council information meeting, the sixteen Utrecht scouting groups spoke together. Femke Hoekstra spoke on their behalf and outlined the importance of scouting for Utrecht society. She described the story of a 15-year-old girl who was uncertain in life, but blossomed during scouting. She also indicated that the groups are moving with the times, so there are no longer separate ties for girls and boys. In a time of inclusion, something like this is no longer appropriate, now the boys and girls get the same tie.
