Utrecht region receives millions from The Hague for flex housing

Utrecht – Utrecht, Nieuwegein, Rhenen, Bunnik, Wijk bij Duurstede, Bunschoten and IJsselstein have made agreements with the government about the arrival of a total of 1500 flex homes in 2023. These temporary social rental homes are available to all home seekers in this sector, including students, starters, status holders and other groups where the housing shortage is high. The government has earmarked 18 million euros for this, of which about 12 million will go to the municipality of Utrecht.
