“The cuts we have to make force us to set priorities in our expenditure,” the board writes in the letter to the council. In addition, it sees plenty of room for improvement in involving young people in the city for the time being. The board does not rule out participating in the elections at some point: “As soon as circumstances permit, we can reconsider participating in the European Youth Capital project.”
