It is not for nothing that the manifesto is being handed over now, just over a month before the Provincial Council elections on 15 March. “Now is the ideal time,” says Doornenbal, who is also vice-chairman of the Association of Dutch Municipalities of Utrecht (VNG Utrecht). “We would like to contribute to the coalition agreement that is coming. And then we preferably start the conversation before there are final plans.”
