The Utrecht Landscape, good for 6000 hectares of forest in the region, also has important advice today: “Stay out of the forest and do that for a little longer than just during the storm”, says forester Joris Hellevoort. “After all, we have to go and see what happened, only then can we release the forest again. The forest will then not be closed, because we assume that people use their common sense. There is also no insurance that covers something like you’re going to walk through the woods.”
