Utrecht is looking for a solution to student transport problems

The Volt party sees a different solution. That party wants to use student transport for those children who need it the most. Children who would need it less would have to go to school in a different way. This creates room to improve the quality of student transport. Anton Stam (Volt) wants to see whether the number of children entitled to transport can be reduced, for example by increasing the minimum distance from two to four kilometres. “I would like to be able to weigh up what measures are needed to limit the group so that it hurts the least. But on the other hand, it gives some air for those groups that really need that transport,” said Stam during the debate. “That these parents can assume that the driver will be there at the same time every day.”
