Utrecht is introducing higher fines to prevent long term vacancy

For ‘other offenders’ a fine of 2,800 euros applied, which has now become 4,500 euros. The reporting obligation may be shorter, from six months to four months. The regulation came into effect on October 1, four days ago. Enforcement and monitoring of vacancy will start in April 2024 and the increased fines will be applied immediately.
