Breda announced today for the first time that the municipality is going to remove reversed flags. The third stage of the Vuelta starts and finishes in that city on Sunday 21 August. The flags are being removed because some people are offended, such as the many veterans in the city. “The national tricolor has great meaning for them,” says a spokesperson for the municipality. Breda also does not want the public road to be used continuously for political expressions.
