A monument in memory of the slavery past will be built in the Griftpark in Utrecht. The monument will be unveiled during Keti Koti 2023 (June 30). The municipality chose a design by patricia kaersenhout. “The monument called Flight and Resistance contains a lot of symbolism and literally makes the raw history visible,” says Utrecht.
