The municipality of Utrecht does not have a good idea of how great the staff shortage is in commercial childcare, and what consequences this has for the after-school care of children. That became clear on Thursday afternoon during the weekly question time. Alderman Eelco Eerenberg (D66) indicated that he knows how pre-school education (VE) is going, but that the picture at the BSOs is ‘diffused’.
