Utrecht doctor worried about care avoiders I really have to

Insurance tips Nibud

At the end of the year you can adjust your health insurance or switch to another provider. What is sensible? And what should you pay attention to? Budget advisor Nibud recommends three steps:

1. Prioritize. Make a list for yourself which care you want to insure. What care do you need? Do you want all care to be reimbursed? Or would you rather pay less per month and take the risk that you have to make up for it yourself?
2. Compare. There are all kinds of comparison sites that you can use to determine which insurance in your case, with your wishes, will work out advantageously. Check out Consuwijzer.nl for tips on how to find a good comparator.
3. Switch. If you choose a new insurer, they will usually also cancel the old insurance. Take out the new insurance policy before 1 January.

Nibud further states: “Sometimes an employer offers joint supplementary health insurance with a discount. You can also sometimes go to such collective health insurance with senior citizens’ associations, patient associations or trade unions.” You will find more information here.
