The company is an independent private limited company, but the municipality is the sole shareholder. In the summer of 2023, the company appeared to be in financial difficulties. The municipality only heard about this in September. In December there appeared to be such a chronic shortage of money that salaries could no longer be paid. Aldermen Schilderman (D66) and Voortman (GroenLinks) opened their wallets and urgently transferred an additional one and a half million euros in the form of a subsidy.
