Litter in the city is not doing well. The Utrecht city council concluded this in a debate today. The streets are a mess, especially in the Overvecht and Kanaleneiland districts. This is mainly because the underground collection system for household waste provides so-called additional placements. The city council is demanding solutions from councilor Susanne Schilderman (D66), but the council is very divided about those solutions.
