The Utrecht factions of PvdA, GroenLinks and Student & Starter asked council questions about the fine policy at the beginning of last month. According to them, the current fines are “too low for some people to feel” and they can therefore afford to sometimes drive too fast, for example. “With all the safety risks that entails.” At the same time, another group of people gets into trouble after receiving a fine.
