This happens in three different classes. The highest of these are the Hypercars, which are closed prototypes that are barely inferior to Formula 1 cars. This year, major brands such as BMW, Ferrari, Porsche, Toyota, Peugeot and Cadillac will compete in the highest class. Three Dutch people have a chance of winning overall this year. Nyck de Vries plays for Toyota, the team that won the race from 2018 to 2022. Renger van der Zande drives for Cadillac, a team that is relatively new to Le Mans. Robin Frijns competes for BMW, which has a lot of experience in other classes at Le Mans.
