He recorded the exciting music that Weierink composed, especially with many violins, in his studio in Utrecht. “I had been briefed and the music had to work well with icy images and the series is set around 1900. So there should not be too much electronic music, but more traditional. I don’t play the violin myself, but by strings close to the comb, you get a really icy and squeaky sound, which I think works really well with the visuals you see in the trailer.”
