In the battle for the title of ‘Most beautiful building in the Netherlands’, Kasteel de Haar dealt with a few perhaps better-known opponents. Kunstmuseum Den Haag came in second place, followed by Het Loo Palace, the National Military Museum and Muiderslot. Nevertheless, De Haar came out as number one. “As soon as people know Kasteel de Haar, they are extremely enthusiastic about it. It is therefore the largest castle in the Netherlands,” says research Hendrik Beerda.
