The organization receives an average of 12 reports of violence per month. “Exclusion, bullying, discrimination and physical violence hit very hard and are also a low point for us,” says Laura Van Nieuwenhuijze, chair of COC Central Netherlands. “Sometimes it goes well and you take a lot of steps forward, and sometimes you also take steps back. We really keep drawing attention to it. In fact, every day is Pride for us.”
