“This year we want to create more awareness about the fact that violence can take place anywhere,” says director Marije Cornelissen of UN Women Netherlands. “At work, when going out, at the sports club, in public transport, in education, in healthcare, in student associations, at festivals, on the beach and not to mention in cyberspace. This can take all kinds of forms, from sexual intimidation to femicide.”
