Utrecht benefit parents about recognition in fraud report: ‘I am still without money’

Utrecht benefit parents about recognition in fraud report I am

The government was, and still is, blind to people and their rights. A scandal like the child benefit affair could happen again. The parliamentary inquiry committee writes this in their report on the government’s fraud policy. That report was presented this afternoon.

Between 2004 and 2019, around 24,000 people were identified as benefit fraudsters. They made mistakes when applying for childcare allowance or were misinformed by childminder agencies or childcare centres. As a result, they had to repay all benefits received. Childcare allowance quickly amounts to tens of thousands of euros.
