“This contribution is higher than previously assumed and wood burning therefore contributes even more to negative effects on public health than was assumed. By removing flues from wood and pellet stoves and fireplaces (and removing the connected stoves and fireplaces from the second-hand market), we reduce pollution from wood burning at the source,” the college writes in a letter to the council.
