The U.S. Supreme Court is upholding broad access to the abortion pill until further notice, rejecting an appeals court order restricting the drug.
The drug mifepristone has been approved for use in the United States since 2000 and five million people have used it.
But abortion opponents have pushed the issue in the United States, where they believe the original approval was flawed. Pending that case, access was restricted.
