(Finance) – Surprisingly, crude oil stocks in the US have decreased in the last week. The EIA, the division of the US Department of Energy, has confirmed that the stocks of crude oilin the last seven days to 25 February 2022, they dropped by about 2.6 million barrels to 413.4 MBG, against expectations for an increase of 2.7 million.
The stocks of distillates recorded a decrease of 0.6 million to 119.1 MBG, against expectations for a decrease of 1.7 million, while the inventories of gasolines they recorded a decrease of 0.5 million to 246 MBG (a decrease of 1.4 million was expected).
The strategic reserves of oil fell by 2.4 million to 580 MBG.
