(Finance) – Mortgage applications are rebounding in the United States. In the week to 5 January 2024the index that measures the volume of mortgage loan applications recorded growth of 9.9% after -10.7% in the previous week.
The index relating to refinancing requests rose by 18.76%, while that relating to new questions recorded an increase of 5.6%.
This is made known Mortgage Bankers Associations (MBA)indicating that 30-year mortgage rates rose to 6.81% from 6.76% the previous week.
