Tension is increasing in the region after the US and UK attacks on Houthis’ points in Yemen. US National Security Council Strategic Communications Coordinator John Kirby, in his statement, stated that the attacks were carried out to stop the Houthis from targeting ships in the Red Sea and said, “We are not seeking conflict with Iran. We don’t want to escalate things. “There is no reason for the events of the last few days to escalate,” he said.
Kirby said that the impact of the attacks on the Houthis is being investigated and said, “We are still investigating the effects of the attack on all targets. “I think we will have clearer information about the details of the damage that occurred in the coming hours,” he said.
