USA University of Michigan consumer confidence declines in April

(Finance) – The index that measures the US consumer confidence, according to the latest survey conducted by the University of Michigan, which published the definitive estimate. In the month of May 2024, the consumer sentiment index stood at 69.1 points from 67.4 in the preliminary reading and against 77.2 in April.

The component relating to also has been revised upwards expectationswhich is positioned at 68.8 points from 76 and against the expected 66.5, while that on current condition it was revised to 69.6 points from the preliminary score of 68.8 points and compared to 79 in April.
