USA University of Michigan consumer confidence falls in April

(Finance) – The index that measures consumer confidence has been revised downwards Americans, according to the latest survey conducted byUniversity of Michiganwhich published the final estimate.

In April 2022, the consumer sentiment index was revised to 65.2 points from 65.7 in the preliminary reading and in the consensus, and against 59.4 in March.

The component relating to expectations has also been revised downwardswhich is positioned at 62.5 below the 64.1 estimated by analysts and the first reading, while that on the current condition is positioned at 69.4 points above the 68.1 of the preliminary indication and analysts.
