USA, University of Michigan: consumer confidence expected to rise beyond expectations

USA University of Michigan consumer confidence stable in April

(Finance) – Expectations are improving consumer confidence Americans in June.

According to preliminary data fromUniversity of Michiganconsumer sentiment is estimated to have increased to 63.9 points compared to 59.2 points in May, and is also higher than analysts’ expectations who expected the level to rise to 60 points.

In the same period, the index on present situation rose to 68 points from 64.9 points previously (expectations were for 61.6 points), while theexpectations index it grew to 61.3 points from the previous 55.4 (the consensus was at 56.5 points).
