USA University of Michigan consumer confidence falls in August

(Finance) – American consumer confidence is expected to worsen in November.

According to the preliminary data from the University of Michiganconsumer sentiment is estimated to have fallen to 60.4 points compared to 63.8 points in October and lower than the expectations of analysts who expected a level down to 63.7 points.

In the same period the index on present situation fell to 65.7 points from the previous 70.6 points (expectations were for 69.5 points), while the index on expectations it dropped to 56.9 points from the previous 59.3 (the consensus was 58.5 points).
