USA University of Michigan consumer confidence declines in April

(Finance) – Expected worsening American consumer confidence to April 2024. According to preliminary data from the University of Michigan, consumer sentiment is estimated to have decreased to 77.9 points compared to 79.4 points in March and lower than the expectations of analysts who expected a level to decline until 79 points.

In the same period the index on present situation fell to 79.3 points (expectations were for 82.2 points), while the index on expectations it decreased to 77 points from the previous 77.4 (the consensus was 77.6 points).
