USA September industrial inventories and sales fall short of

(Finance) – Data below expectations for industrial inventories in September. According to what was communicated by the US Bureau of Census, an increase of 0.1% was recorded for inventories to 2,587.1 billion dollars, below the +0.2% expected by consensus and the +0.3% recorded the previous month. On an annual basis, an increase of 2.2% was recorded.

In the same period, sales rose 0.3% on a monthly basis to $1,881.2 billion. On year there was an increase of 0.5%.

The inventory/sales ratio stood at 1.38. In September 2023 it was 1.35.
