(Finance) – Home sales are still slowing in the United States, according to the numbers emerging from the purchase agreements, an indicator of the prospective trend of the real estate and mortgage markets.
In the month of May, thepending home sales index (progress home sales), published by the Association of Real Estate Operators (NAR), recorded a decrease of 2.1% on a monthly basis, reaching 70.8 points compared to the 7.7% drop recorded in April ( 72.3).
The figure compares with the +0.6% expected by analysts.
