USA PCE inflation slows in August

(Finance) – The incomes of American families are increasing, as are personal expenses. According to the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) of the United States, personal consumption (PCE) increased by 0.2% in August compared to +0.5% in the previous month, less than expected by analysts (+0.3%).

THE personal incomes recorded an increase of 0.2%, also in this case less than the +0.3% of the previous month and the +0.4% of the consensus.

The PCE price index core, a measure of inflationhighlights a positive change of 0.1% on the month (+0.2% the previous month and expected by analysts) and 2.2% on the year, below the +2.3% expected and the +2.5% of July.
