(Finance) – The home sales in the United States, according to the numbers that emerge from the purchase agreements, an indicator of the prospective trend of the real estate and mortgage markets.
In December 2023, thepending home sales index (home sales in progress), published byAssociation of real estate operators (NAR), recorded an increase of 8.3% on a monthly basis, reaching 77.3 points from 71.4 in November. The previous month had seen a (revised) decline of 0.3%.
The figure compares with the +1.5% expected by analysts.
