USA, November producer prices +0.3% month +7.4% year

(Finance) – Data arrives above expectations from US producer prices in November 2022. According to the US Department of Labor (BLS), producer prices are increased by 0.3% month on month compared to +0.3% in the previous month (data revised by a preliminary figure of +0.2%) and higher than the consensus (+0.2%).

Every year prices recorded a 7.4% increasea value higher than the consensus (+7.2%) and compared to the +8.1% of the previous month (data revised from a preliminary +8%).

The prices of core goods and servicesi.e. the index excluding the more volatile components such as the food and energy sectors, show a +0.4% month on month (+0.1% the previous month) compared to the +0.2% expected, while on year they recorded a +6.2% after the previous +6.8% (+5.9% expected).
