(Finance) – Manufacturing activity worsens in the Chicago area.
In February, the Chicago PMI came in at 43.6 points versus 44.3 points the previous month. The figure is also lower than analysts’ expectations which were for a rise of up to 45 points.
Please remember that an index level above 50 points indicates an expansion while a level below 50 points indicates a contraction in the US manufacturing sector.
