USA kicked off the Copa America with a win over

The tournament host, the United States, opened the Copa America with a win and is at the top of Group C together with Uruguay.

The US national soccer team started their Copa America tournament with a 2–0 win against Bolivia. The hosts playing in the C group took the lead after three minutes of the game with their captain Christian Pulisic on the finish line.

In the second match of Group C, Uruguay beat Panama 3–1. Uruguay has won the Copa America championship tournament no less than 15 times. The reigning champion is Argentina, who won the previous tournament played in 2021.

In this year’s Copa America, in addition to ten South American countries, six countries from North America, Central America and the Caribbean region from Concacaf are participating.

The 16 teams of the tournament have been drawn into groups of four countries, the best two of each of which advance to the playoffs. The champion will survive in the final, which will be played on July 15, Finnish time. The tournament is played in the United States.
