(Finance) – Increase less than expected weekly gas storage in the USA. According to the Energy Information Administration (EIA), a division of the US Department of Energy, gas storage in the week ending October 21, 2022 increased by 52 BCF (billion cubic feet).
The figure is revealed below the consensus (+59 BCF). There week before there was an increase of 111 BCF.
The total stocks they therefore reached 3,394 billion cubic feet, resulting in a decrease of 4% compared to a year ago (when they were equal to 3,536) and a decrease of 5.5% compared to the average of the last five years (3,591 BCF).
