(Finance) – Less than expected the weekly gas storage in the USA. According to the Energy Information Administration (EIA), division of the American Energy Department, the gas storage in the week ended on February 21, 2025 were decreasing of 261 BCF (Billion Cubic Feet).
The data proves to be less than consensus (-276 BCF). The week before there was a drop of 196 BCF.
The Total stocks They therefore brought to 1,840 billion cubic feet, resulting in 23.4% compared to a year ago (when they were equal to 2,401) and 11.5% compared to the average of the last five years of 2,078 BCF.
