Half of Russia’s tanks have probably been destroyed or taken by Ukraine. This is what US Deputy Secretary of Defense Celeste Wallander says at an event on Friday.
Wallander did not provide exact figures for how many tanks Russia has lost since the war of invasion began on February 24, 2021.
Soon, Ukraine is expected to receive deliveries of Leopard tanks from Germany, the Netherlands and Denmark. In January, the Swedish government decided to send 50 Stridsfordon 90.
