(Finance) – US manufacturing activity worsens while that of services improves. The flash estimate onmanufacturing PMI index of December prepared by Markit in fact, it indicates a level of 48.2 points which compares with the 49.4 points of the previous month and the 49.3 points of the consensus.
The data is therefore confirmed below the critical threshold of 50 points below which the economy is contracting.
In the same period the Services SMEs it is expected at 51.3 points, up from 50.8 points in the previous month and above the consensus (50.6 points).
The Composite PMI it thus stands at 51 points from 50.7 in November.
