(Finance) – Expectations are improving US consumer confidence as of July 2023. According to preliminary data from the University of Michigan, consumer sentiment is estimated to have increased to 72.6 points compared to 64.4 points in June, and is also higher than the expectations of analysts who expected an increase up to to 65.5 points.
In the same period, the index on present situation rose to 77.5 points from 69 points previously (expectations were for 70.4 points), while the index on waited it grew to 69.4 points from the previous 61.5 (the consensus was at 61.8 points).
