USA construction spending falls in February

(Finance) – Construction spending in the USA decreases in February. The data, communicated by Department of Commerce American, stands at 1,844.1 billion dollars, recording a decrease of 0.1% on a monthly basis, in line with analysts’ estimates and after the +0.4% in February (revised from a preliminary -0.1 %).

On an annual basis, however, there was an increase of 5.2%.

Between private buildings, whose expenses remained unchanged at 1,453.2 billion dollars, those of a residential type decreased by 0.6% to 852.1 billion dollars. There spending in the public sector it marked a decrease of 0.2% to 391 billion dollars.
