USA confirmed! A US citizen dies in clashes in Sudan

The clashes between the army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), which started on April 15, continue in Sudan. White House National Security Council Strategic Communications Coordinator John Kirby confirmed the news that a US citizen was killed in the conflict in Sudan. Kirbiy conveyed his condolences to the family of the US citizen who lost his life in the conflict, and stated that the US Department of State is in contact with the family.

ATTRACTION VIOLATION

A 24-hour ceasefire was declared for the first time on April 18 for the delivery of aid and evacuations between the army and the RSF, but both sides violated the ceasefire. On April 19, at 18:00 local time, a second 24-hour ceasefire was decided. While the parties announced that they would abide by the ceasefire, explosions and gunfire were heard from different points. Lastly, the RSF called for a 3-day ceasefire for the Eid al-Fitr and the evacuation of civilians from 21 April.

MILITARY ADMINISTRATION WANTS RSF TO JOIN THE ARMY

On April 15, clashes broke out in Sudan between the army led by the Sovereignty Council President General Abdulfettah al-Burhan and the RSF led by the council’s vice president, General Mohammed Hamdan Dagalo. Al-Burhan states that the RSF, which was established to fight the rebels, should join the army in order to prevent it from acting as an independent force, while Dagalo, the head of the RSF, argues that this should be done with a civilian administration.
