In Finland, the youth hockey World Cup final has been the number one sports news on Monday, but it is different in North America, even though the USA took the brightest medals again.

The United States won the second consecutive world championship in the under-20 men’s ice hockey World Cup in Ottawa, Canada, when Finland fell 4–3 in overtime. Ice hockey is not known to be the number one sport in North America, so there was no great hype about the World Cup gold in the media behind the rapako.
The USA has never before succeeded in repeating its youth world championship.

The NFL promoted the championship in various media
Canadian on TSN’s website AP’s story was number one news, but from a US sports channel ESPN’s the championship didn’t even fit on the front page. American football (NFL), basketball, golf and soccer were ahead.
Browsing ESPN’s pages, I found AP’s story on the pages. The article was on the front page of NHL stuff, but it was only moved to the side of the page (just the title).
USA Today on the website had its own short piece of news about the championship, but the NFL news (four pieces) drove ahead.
Hockey site The Daily Faceoff on the pages, the USA world championship was the number one news, but there was no great incense on the pages.
Overall, there was no great hype in the North American media headlines. The headlines were informative with the model: USA beat Finland in overtime at the World Youth Championship.
In Finland, the final game of the Young Lions has almost always been the number one topic of sports news.
They respected Gaudreau
The United States was honored in the tournament Johnny Gaudreau. The jersey of the NHL star who died tragically in August was hanging in the team’s locker room throughout the tournament.
After the championship was decided, the team published a joint photo with Gaudreau’s jersey.

The US federation censors the party video
The United States Ice Hockey Federation published the accompanying celebration video of the youth victory party on the X communication service, from which the words have been censored. In the video, the youngsters shout a rhyme, which has become a tradition in the USA national team.
Power words are used in the censored ending, and the association thought it best to leave the voices out of this.
The censored part sings: cause we just kick your fucking ass.
