(Finance) – Crude inventories in the US unexpectedly increased in the last week. L’EIA, the division of the Department of Energy American, signaled that crude oil stocks, in the past seven days to January 6, 2023increased by 18.9 million barrels to 439.6 MBG, against expectations for a decrease of around 2.2 million.
The stocks of distillates recorded a drop of 1.1 million to 117.7 MBG, against expectations for a decrease of 0.5 million, while inventories of petrols recorded an increase of 4.1 million to 226.8 MBG (an increase of 1.2 million was expected).
Strategic oil reserves fell to 371.6 MBG.
