The law adopted in April 2024 which provided for the ban on TikTok in the United States will therefore apply. This set the date of January 19 for the video sharing platform to change ownership. Donald Trump had asked the Supreme Court to delay its entry into force to give him the opportunity to act once he returned to the White House. The Court rejected this option.
