US stops sharing intelligence with Ukraine

The United States has stopped sharing intelligence and military information with Ukraine, says sources for the Financial Times.
The decision is expected to have a major impact on the Ukrainian army’s conditions for Russia.
– It’s very negative. The Ukrainian bandages are in need of these types of intelligence, says Sweden’s former Defense Minister Peter Hultqvist (S) to TV4 News.

The US intelligence tasks have been crucial to Ukraine when it comes to identifying and fighting Russian goals.

However, according to Financial Times sources, the United States continues to send military information about Russia and Ukraine to other allies, such as the UK. However, the British Daily Mail finds that the British have been instructed not to share any US intelligence with Ukraine.

The information has not yet been confirmed by neither the United States, Ukraine nor the United Kingdom.

Hultqvist: US not reliable

Sweden’s former Defense Minister Peter Hultqvist (S) has just been reached by the information when TV4 News meets him.

– We are a situation where the United States does not prove to be reliable, this is something we in Europe must take with us in our assessments now that we are planning in the future, because we must stand behind Ukraine both when it comes to production of weapons and strategic thinking. We can’t leave them in the stick.

Big problem for Ukraine at the front

Military expert Joakim Paaskivi takes a serious look at the information.

– It would be a major problem for Ukraine if this has been found that the United States does not share information with Ukraine. Then Ukraine gets hard to hit goals beyond the front, says Paasikivi.

We the front can manage the Ukrainians with drones and other investigative equipment. But to get information about when Russian bombers lift from, for example, the air bases in Olenya and Engels, information from Americans is important.

– This is a series of alarming trends, if they are linked to the withdrawn military support, says Joakim Paasiki.

– It’s a little surprising after the positive signals that came in Trump’s speech tonight. But it has been on and off in what is called the peace process before. But we hope that this is not true, because otherwise it will soon mean that more ukriainers will die, at the front and in cities, says Joakim Paasikivi.

Paused Arms Deliveries to Ukraine

Earlier this week, the United States paused all weapons deliveries and other assistance to Ukraine.

At the same time, information that Volodymyr Zelenskyj will be traveling to the United States again. France’s President Emmanuel Macron is considering a new visit to the country, and is expected to bring the Ukrainian president, says Macron’s spokesperson.
