The first of the military units sent by the USA to support the European NATO allies and to deter Russia in the face of the threat of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine arrived in Poland.
POLAND MILITARY RESOURCE ANNOUNCED
Noting that the plane carrying a small US unit had landed at Rzeszow-Jasionka Airport in the southeast of the country, the Polish military source said, “As announced, the first elements of the US Army’s 82nd Airborne Division arrived in Poland.”
THEY ANNOUNCED THAT THEY WILL SEND SOLDIERS
The USA announced that it would send 2,000 soldiers to Poland and Germany, and that 1,000 soldiers stationed in Germany would be shifted to Romania. The USA has approximately 4,500 soldiers deployed in Poland as a result of both NATO and bilateral agreements. (UAV)
