Import duties on Mexico and Canada in the United States came into force on Tuesday.

US Minister of Trade Howard Lutnick says that negotiations with Canada and Mexico are currently underway.

Lutnick said in an interview with Fox that the compromise solution achieved by the parties could be announced on Wednesday.

During the day, the minister said he spoke to both Canadian and Mexicans, who, according to Lutnick, “have tried to show that they can work better”.

– President [Trump] Listening, and you know she is very fair and very sensible. So I think he’s going to find some sort of solution with them, Kutnick said.

On Tuesday, both Canada and Mexico have said that they will set their own additional supplements for US products in response to high customs duties in US countries.

Import duties on Mexico and Canada in the United States came into force on Tuesday.
